About
Dr. Thornton's research interest is in the area of statistical genetics, with an emphasis on statistical methodology for genetic association studies of complex traits in samples with relatedness, ancestry admixture, and/or population structure. He recently published “Local ancestry at APOE modifies Alzheimer’s disease risk in Caribbean Hispanics" (2019) Alzheimers & Dementia 15:1524-1532. doi: 10.1016/j.jalz.2019.07.016.
