I am second year PhD student working with Dr. Ali Shojaie on developing statistical machine learning methods for neuroscience applications. Specifically, we are developing statistical methods to model neural functional connectivity changes. If successful, these methods could be used to restore neural connectivity and help treat a wide range of medical conditions from epilepsy to motor function loss from e.g. a stroke.
