About

Dr. Rice's research focuses primarily on developing and applying statistical methods for complex disease epidemiology, notably cardiovascular disease and genetic epidemiology. He is also an active researcher of statistical methods for meta-analysis, and in the foundations of inference - notably developing connections between Bayesian and non-Bayesian methods. He is a co-director of the UW Genetic Analysis Center, where he leads the coordinating center of NIH's PRIMED consortium. He also serves as Graduate Program Director for the department, and is an investigator in the UW Cardiovascular Health Research Unit.
