I am a PhD student in Biostatistics. I am working with Dr. Lyndia Brumback as a research assistant at the Collaborative Health Studies Coordinating Center.
Prior to coming to UW, I obtained my masters degree in Statistical Computing from the University of Central Florida. I hold a BSc. in Mathematics with Statistics from the University of Ghana and spent some time at Tufts University as an exchange student. I am interested in statistical learning theory, estimation in high dimensional data settings and nonparametric function estimation.
I am originally from Somanya, a small town in the Eastern Region of Ghana. When I am not occupied with school or work, I make time to hang out with friends, listen to music (mostly Afrobeat!), play soccer, dance (I like to think so!), etc.
